My standby jury group has to report. Of course this couldn’t have happened at any other time when I wasn’t already working 50-60 hour weeks to get a project out next Wednesday and studying for the hardest Architectural Registration Exam next Friday.
Train wreck I saw on the way to AutoX yesterday, about matches my current mood.
(Train hit a grain truck, derailed 20 cars)

What’s wrong with jury duty? You sit in a climate controlled room, while you get to judge someone, and they pay for your lunch. I actually enjoyed the week I spent as a juror last fall.

Damn, looks like your plans got derailed. Time to train your expectations for the week. C hoo-choo-choose wisely.

Might have something to do with the 50-60 hour weeks to get a project out by next Wednesday and study for a very important exam next Friday.
Don’t ask how I came by this information, I must of read it somewhere. Lol.

Any time that wasn’t now, and I’d be more than happy to do my civic duty

Thanks, first time I’ve smiled today

Ye’, don’t want you going loco, once you go off the rails you lose train of thought and it's hard to get your mind back on track.

I never respond to jury mail, and nothing ever happens. In my line of work it just can't happen.

I’m in jury duty too! I’m miserable.

They’re playing General Hospital on the waiting room TVs, I’m dying.

Did you try asking for an extension because of your jury duty?
If you want a tried and true way out of jury duty, just ask the judge about “jury nullification” and you’ll be sent home (and possibly everyone else in the pool with you).

Lol, my Project Architect will pick up the redlines if I’m not around, but it adds a LOT to her already heavy workload.
